This Privacy Policy explains how MyUpload ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use https://myupload.us (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Account information: email address (required), username (optional), account status, premium status, and referral relationship (if you signed up via a referral link).

Authentication data: your login credentials are managed by our authentication provider (Ory Kratos). If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive the account information Google shares with us for that purpose (e.g., your email address).

Usage and location data: we derive an approximate country (not precise location) from your IP address using GeoIP lookup, to calculate view/download/click-based earnings and to serve regionally relevant ads.

Content and activity: files, videos, or links you upload; metadata about that content; view, download, and click counts associated with it.

Payout information: if you request a payout, we collect the payout method and details you provide (e.g., PayPal email, bank details, or crypto wallet address).

Support tickets: if you contact us through the support ticket system, we collect the contents of your ticket and any information you provide in it.

Reports: if you or someone else submits a content report (e.g., copyright/DMCA, abuse) via the "Report" tool, we collect the reporter's name, email, the reported content, details of the complaint, and the reporter's IP address.

Cookies:

  • A session cookie (ory_kratos_session) is required to keep you signed in.
  • If Google Analytics is enabled on the site, it sets its own cookies (e.g., _ga, _gid) to measure site usage. You can opt out using your browser's tracking controls or Google's opt-out tools.
  • Third-party advertisements displayed on the Service may set their own cookies or use similar tracking technologies, governed by their own privacy policies.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and secure the Service and your account.
  • Calculate and pay earnings for uploaded content.
  • Process referrals and premium plan requests.
  • Investigate and respond to support tickets and content reports.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse.
  • Understand aggregate usage of the Service (via analytics, if enabled).
  • Serve advertising, including via third-party ad networks.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

  • With service providers who help us operate the Service (e.g., our authentication provider, analytics provider), solely to provide those services to us.
  • With advertisers or ad networks, limited to what is needed to serve ads (we do not share your account email or payout details with advertisers).
  • When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of MyUpload, our users, or the public.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy or a successor policy.
  • With law enforcement or NCMEC where required, including in cases involving suspected child exploitation, per our Terms of Service.

4. Data Retention

We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion (via a support ticket), we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable time, except where we are required to retain certain records (e.g., payout/financial records) for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Uploaded content may be retained or removed according to our content policies even after an account is closed, where necessary to investigate reports or comply with law.

5. Your Choices

  • You can update your account information at any time from your account settings.
  • You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by opening a support ticket.
  • You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect your ability to stay signed in.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls and signed, time-limited URLs for file access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it and take appropriate action, which may include account termination.

8. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States, and information we collect is stored and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer and processing.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the effective date above when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
